  We have just returned from a short stay at The Cotswold Water Park Hotel. (Booked in maiden name - Dear). This break was booked over two years ago as it was for a very special occasion – our honeymoon.
  However, on arriving at the hotel, we were told by reception that there was a large conference on and that they had taken over the whole hotel. In fact, we were the only guests there who were not with the conference. We were told we could not eat in the Brasserie restaurant, as the conference delegates have reserved every seat, but instead go and eat in the pub next door.
  This was so disappointing, as we had particularly wanted a superior dining experience for our honeymoon dinner.
  We were then told that as the delegates would also be taking over the whole dining room in the morning for breakfast, that we should either wait for our breakfast until 9.30am, after they had all had their breakfasts or have a tray brought to our room.
  We could not believe what we were hearing.
  We were made to feel as though we were in the way and not valued as paying customers and this is totally unacceptable.
  We feel we should have received a communication in advance of our stay, advising us of the all consuming conference and offering us the opportunity to choose an alternative PH hotel.
  Not happy. Will be writing a formal letter and expect a full refund.
